Rachel Korn received her BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in painting and art education. She has exhibited in many galleries in the Boston area including Three Stones Gallery, Chandler Gallery, Gallery Seven, Concord Art, and the Norris Colton Cancer Center. Her work has been published in the collection, Grief and Healing, Chandler Gallery 2016. Her work is included in numerous private collections including that of Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked. Prior to become a full-time artist, Rachel taught art for two decades in the Littleton and Lancaster Public Schools During those years, her own work informed her teaching.
In her current series, Blues, Rachel explores the contrasts between controlled and deliberate brushwork in balance with spontaneous moments in which the paint does what it will. This series reflects her love of color and music and the associations that emerge as she paints.
