Michele Lauriat holds a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Lauriat was a Massachusetts Cultural Council Painting Fellow in 2020 and a Grant Wood Fellow in Painting and Drawing at the University of Iowa in 2014/15. Lauriat has been an Artist in Residence at Zion National Park, Walnut Canyon and Wupatki Point National Monuments, and Grand Canyon National Park. Recent exhibitions include Paper Landscapes, a solo exhibition in Bozeman, MT; Draw the Line, a group exhibition at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, MA; and Passing the Edge, a group show at the Fort Points Art Community Gallery in South Boston.
