Originally from New York City, LESLIE ZELAMSKY earned her BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art. After earning her MFA degree from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, Zelamsky became a resident artist at School 33 Art Center. Leslie is a recipient of the Patricia Robert Harris Fellowship and has received numerous awards including full tuition scholarships to the Maryland Institute College of Art, Oxbow Artist Colony and the Vermont Studio School.
Zelamsky’s work has been exhibited at venues in the DC, Baltimore and Boston/Metro West areas that include the Fitchburg Art Museum, the Umbrella, Fountain Street, the Fruitlands Museum, ArtSpace Maynard and University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her work has been reviewed in the Baltimore Sun and Artscope.
